Assistance in Opening A Bank/Brokerage Account in The Bahamas

This is a service that we offer to our clients to facilitate the above. We cannot guarantee the opening of an account, but we use our contacts and knowledge of Bahamian based banks/brokers to achieve opening the account as smoothly as possible.

If you wish for our assistance in opening a corporate account here, our fee is $300.

“Assistance” means that we will introduce the corporation to a bank/broker with our guarantee that the corporation is a bona fide and duly incorporated Bahamian corporation. We cannot and do not assume any responsibility for the decisions or actions of the bank/broker. Our obligation is fulfilled when you have submitted your application and bank/broker-required documents, signature cards, etc., to us and we have tendered them to the bank/broker on your behalf. If you fail or refuse to fill the papers out correctly, or submit required documentation or for any other reason the bank/broker rejects your account, we assume no responsibility. Our fee is non-refundable.

Banks/brokers will generally need to perform basic and rapid background checks on clients, therefore clients will generally need to provide the following:

  • Notarized copies of passport
  • Bank reference
  • Professional reference
  • Confirmation of place of residence (e.g. a utility bill, credit card statement dated not earlier than 3 months or included in your professional reference)
  • Amount required to open the account will vary according to the bank/broker, but usually starts at $5,000.

There exists over 350 banks within the Bahamas of which clients can choose from ~200. Clients normally can have a choice of size and nationality, whether the bank is Swiss, Canadian, Australian, English, etc. Accounts can also be held in any major currency.

Mail & Courier

We offer mailbox rentals and handling and forwarding of mail (maildrop) to anywhere in the world for local and offshore clients. Your mail is received and then placed unopened into another package and sent to you. Forwarding of mail is at intervals indicated by you. e.g. weekly, monthly etc. You are assigned a mail number to allow us to easily identify your mail and better serve you.

Answering

We offer an answering service where you can retrieve your messages at anytime from anywhere in the world. You are assigned a private voice mailbox, which can be customized with your personalized greeting. Your clients can be transferred to your mailbox or messages taken as per your instructions.

We encourage you to let your clients leave messages for you directly in your mailbox and your mailbox is only accessed by you. You will be given an initial password to enter the system, and can thereafter change your password at any time. This is an efficient and secure way of always having easy access to your messages and important information at any time. Call or e-mail us for more details.

Fax & E-mail

For your convenience, you can send and receive faxes 24 hours a day to our fax number: 242-356-6135. There is a service fee to receive faxes and a per page charge for each fax received. Faxes sent are charged per page, which varies with the destination.

We also send and receive e-mail on behalf of clients. There is a service fee to receive e-mails and a per page fee for each page printed. Files can also be downloaded and copied to disk. Call or e-mail us for more details.
